9/14/11 After another warm and shiny summer, fall brings the official release of my latest record "The Kaleidoscope Kid". I'm really excited for people to hear this one. It's much different then the last one, and it takes a few listens, but I think you'll like it.. just make sure you listen to it from start to finish to catch all the little surprises. Check out some tracks here and give it a preview. It'll be available for purchase within the month. Also, look forward to my next project, "A Different Church Every Sunday", a stripped down spiritual EP, due out by the end of this year. Hope you enjoy all this music. More to come. Bye for now..
5/02/11 Despite some substantial competition from the Red Wings and other local Detroit happenings, the CD release show was pretty successful, and I had a great time back home. Big thanks to Ann Delisi for having me on the program again, giving out some great advice and experience, and making everything look so easy. Thanks to Taylor Schmidt for filming the show and taking some photos. Of course a thank you for the band(s), Jay, and the massive crowds of people that came and hung out. So now.. Detroit to New York, New York to Philli. Another day into a another month, and another step towards the New Record. The Kid's around the corner. Keep a look out.
4/4/11 Big thanks to Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas and Monolithic Cloud Parade for putting on a great show this past Saturday at the Bakery Loft! It was amazing to be a part of the night's festivities. Thanks to everyone that came out for our set, everybody working at the Bakery, and most of all, thanks to my band for learning the tunes and coming up with a great show after only 2 hours of rehearsal. Looking forward to the next one!
3/24/11 April and May bring many new adventures.. Cape May this Saturday, shows in Detroit, PA, and NY, radio interviews, and then off to Philadelphia for two weeks to record my second full length LP of 2011, "The Kaleidascope Kid". I'm really excited to record these new tracks. Hopefully I can get all these songs on tape and in your ears before my mid to late 20's creative prime dries up and I move on to vegetable farming.. Stay tuned!
3/1/11 Attention to everyone living in New Paltz, NY and its surrounding areas!! Come on out to singer songwriter Tuesday next week (3/08/11) at the Rosendale Cafe (www.rosendalecafe.com). I'll be playing a short set along with 5 other musicians. It's only three or four songs each, but with 6 different artists it makes for a great night of music. Really cool people, great food and drinks, and a nice intimate setting for a show! Starts at 8pm.. and it's FREE!
2/21/11 CD Release show is confirmed! April 29th @ the Magic Stick in good old Detroit city, MI. 2/6/11 Probably worth mentioning.. I've been selected to perform at the Cape May Singer Songwriter Extravaganza (www.sscapemay.com) this year. A bit of a drive for me for a short set, but worth checking out if for some random reason you're in Cape May, NJ in late March, March 26th to be exact..ok, that's all for now.
2/4/11 Album finished!! Check out the finished product here! I want to thank everyone that helped me out with this one. A quick thanks and credit to Derek at Subcat for putting up with my studio A-D-D and for helping me get all the music out of my head and onto a disc (also credit for his musical ideas on Colony of Clay Elephants, and to Ron for his smooth brush work). Also I'd like to thank my good friend Adam Serafino for his synth and expert whistling (..and refusing to take a check when I tried to pay him.. I owe you one) and Chris Monaghan for his beautiful photography. Eternal THANKS to my family and lastly, to Susan, for her photos, inspiration, and love... So now it's done, and it's your turn! Enjoy.."Varna" will be available soon on Itunes.
